What I Am Missing

Well I am doing good. But now I am missing some things from home. The first thing I miss is my blanky. I miss sleeping with my blanky. I really miss playing with it and hugging it too.

The second one is I miss my friends. I miss playing with them, going to their houses and them coming to our house.

The third thing I miss is English. We can't talk to people here. People here look at us thinking that we are crazy because we are saying "da da da" and "nyet nyet nyet...da da da!".

Mom and Dad can't drive here. But we have a very good driver here to drive us where we want to go.

We met a family here. They are a nice family. The Oborn's and us usually go to Pizza House. The dads order the food at the Pizza House. The Oborn's speak English. Yannik and us play on the bouncy castle.

I am missing things, but it is OK without them!

Deserted Island

Kenny’s writing prompt was to imagine he was on a deserted island and was writing a letter to send out in a bottle.

I’ve been yelling to get help. But it is no good use. I’ve been on this island for three days! Please get me out of here. I am very hungry. I’m on an island one hundred miles away from land, maybe more than that. I’m North West. The island is small it is about one hundred feet wide. Well it is pretty.

My name is Kenny LaJoy . I’m 32 years old my eyes are brown and my hair is black my skin is light brown. I have a mom , dad two goofy brothers and two sweet sisters. My mom and dad live at -------, Montrose Colorado. Get me out of here. Thank you.

Love,
Kenny LaJoy

What I Have Learned

What I have been learning from this trip…

Patience is the key to problems. I also learned to follow God’s path even when it does not make any sense to us. I learned that love is more bigger than I think it is. I learned that people can be really broken in their heart and when they are heartbroken they can be really scared. I learned that love always wins.

I bet you that the girls are pretty happy to be with us. We had very good times with them! The girls feel pretty comfortable around us and we feel pretty comfortable around them.

The Past Few Days

Kenny on Wednesday

Mom and Dad talked to the girls yesterday. The girls were heartbroken like we were on Monday. Today we are going to visit them to see how are they doing. I think they are ready to show their hearts. I feel it will go a lot better today. But we are not saying they can come home with us. I hope they will play with us and have fun with us.

Kenny on Thursday

The girls were smiling. They are very funny because they are cheating a lot. I think that they are a good fit with us.

Kenny on Saturday

Today they were very happy to go with us. We were at the apartment. We had lunch here. Angela played with Matt and Joshua. Olesya did a craft with me. We all had a fun time. We all decorated a little. We all played a game and we all had fun playing because we all cheated. Then the girls went back with Dad. When they went back we were very happy about them. Then when Dad came back he was glad, he felt good. I felt fabulous about them!

The Weekend

On Saturday we and the girls went bowling. The first bowling place we went to did not have any spots for us to play bowling. Then the lights went out, people got candles for everybody. Then we went to another bowling place to play. Matthew won, he had the highest score. I felt sad when the girls did not want to sit with mom or dad.

Sunday we went to see one of the girls play. We went to the wrong school. We saw her and her team, they went to the wrong school too. Then we went to the right school. But her game did not start yet. So we went to the restaurant. The restaurant (The Doner Café) had a play place to play in. It was fun playing. The second pizza took forever to get to our table. When we got back the game was almost over. But they had another game. Then we said good-bye to the girls.

On Monday we were very sad. We can’t adopt the girls because they don’t want to be with us. We were hurt by that. Mom was crying because she was very sad. When we got home we were talking about how do we feel. I was crying, it was so sad. We talk about getting another kid. We were all not in the mood because our hearts were broken. Today we are not as sad. We are in the mood to get another kid if she or he fit.

Fun!

We had fun yesterday playing with Yannik at the Pizza House. Then we played a game named "Uno" with the girls. We had fun but the girls did not have fun. It made me sad that the girls did not have fun playing Uno.

Joshua's tooth came out and the tooth fairy did not get here yet.

The Scaredness

I feel sad for the girls because the girls are crying. They are scared and sad about going with us. I feel scared because the girls might not go home with us. I did not feel scared when I went to the orphanage. When we saw the girls yesterday they looked happy but when we got to the play place the girls got very scared. Mom and Dad talked to the girls, what were they scared of? Then after Mom and Dad talked to them, Olesya got better. Angela was still a little scared, she was talking to Boris. And then she grinned and she started to be a little happy. Then Olesya climbed with us and then we had to take the girls back to the orphanage. Then we went back to our apartment.

I hope they will be a lot better and less scared. I hope they enjoy us and I hope they'll come home with us.
